Our collaboration with the Brood team began with an in-depth briefing session to understand their brand identity and the intended use of the space. Their primary request was a safe, open-ended play area for children aged 0–4 years that also allowed parents to supervise or participate in play. We selected real wood materials for their durability, warmth, and natural aesthetic. Together with the Brood team, we explored catalogues and discussed ways to adapt and configure their preferred elements to create a unique space. 

Working closely with Brood, we customised every feature to align with their vision. We proposed a multifunctional roleplay wall, designed to flexibly define play areas and support various activities, including staging, construction, and roleplay. To further enhance the play environment, we incorporated interactive wall elements such as ball runs, the Dusyma train wall set, and wooden sensory games. A landscape rug was added to promote small-world play and imaginative exploration.

Addressing Brood’s request for a slide with a retreat space, we designed and installed the Dreamhouse — a modular wooden play loft. This structure was adapted to include a cosy, low-level nest underneath, with wide, easily accessible steps leading to a large play platform above. The wooden slide, frequently praised by parents, is wide enough for adults to slide alongside their children, fostering shared play experiences. Every feature was selected and tailored to enhance functionality, aesthetic appeal, and the overall play experience.
